Can you take me higher?

I've been doing a lot of climbing at Momentum climbing gym. Chris Austin had mentioned that he went to one when I was still in MA and it was a good time. The first time I went here my friend Mark told me it would turn into an addiction. I'm not quite sure I'd call it an addiction, but it sure is a fun way to work out. I'm still going to Gold's, but once or twice a week I head to Momentum.

The Beynons are coming to Utah for a visit on April 18th. I am pretty wicked excited. Michelle joined facebook last week, so now about half the family is on there. I haven't seen Michelle at all since I have been here even though we are in the same state now. I can actually say that about a lot of people.

Seth Melling is getting married. Not that it's a surprise, but maybe you're reading this and didn't know. Of course, maybe you have no idea who he is. There's a lot of people getting married, including my landlord.

I gave blood today and saved up to three lives with my pint! I gave at a red cross drive, which I am sorta opposed to since they charge hospitals between $200 and $300 per pint from what my friends at hospitals tell me, but I just never make it to the hospital to give blood. I filled the bag in 5 minutes flat. Pretty impressive time compared to my last few. Usually takes me closer to 7 mins.

I went on a short hike with Katie today. It seems like I haven't seen her more than one day in a month. She was dating a pretty cool guy from Logan, but it just didn't work out. So, she'll be around a lot more now. She had been spending a lot of time up in Logan, and when she was around here she was at her sister's. I need to get over to Parkway Crossing to visit their apartment. I haven't seen Lacey in a long time.

Saturday was a pretty awesome day of climbing at Momentum, singing at Geoff's playing Rockband, eating home-made ice cream, and coloring Easter eggs.

Thursday is training with Lily and I can't wait. I think the gym would be kinda dull without her. She's just got so much enthusiasm! I bet she's super fun on dates.

I have been really slacking on my photo taking lately. It's just that i don't go outside of Orem very often and so the scenery is all the same! I need to get out to some other part of Utah and take some different pics.

I'm feeling so calm, I've got a big smile

On Wednesday at 1pm I am going to the dentist for the first time in about 10 years. I saw a posting on craigslists for a free cleaning and checkup. So what's the catch? It's at a dental school by a student, and it's 3 hours long. It's all good, it will probably take 3 hours to clean 10 years of junk off my teeth.

My Saturday was pretty darn fun (and awesome). I took a 3 hour nap after work and headed to Momentum in Sandy, UT which is a climbing gym. From 2pm to 5pm I climbed walls with Mark and Kim Ludlow. That was a wicked good time. I then headed over to Kari and Tom Lane's house and we got some pizza from The Pie pizzeria. I had never been there before. best pizza I have had in Utah so far. Pretty close to east coast pizza. After that is when the day got really awesome. I picked up Nichole Bennett and we went to a Beatles Tribute concert with Tom and Kari. Not only did they sound just like the Beatles, but they LOOKED just like them. Even the equipment they used was from the right time period. The night was finished off with cheesecake at the cheesecake factory. Nichole is pretty awesome, and I don't think I'll forget this day anytime soon.

Friday night I went to a graduation party for people graduating from the Utah College of Massage Therapy. Trevor Williams was graduating. it seems most of the people there were married, so I spent almost the whole time playing with 4 and 5 year olds. I was pretty beat after several hours of chasing around 6 kids! The place that the party was at was incredible. They have a castle, a witch's house, lots of animal statues. Really nifty place.

Miranda got Trevor a membership to Gold's gym as a graduation present so today I went to the gym with Trevor. Katie doesn't get to the gym much anymore. She's always working or at her boyfriend's. I ran him through the workout that Lily had us do the first week and introduced him to Lily. He's gonna be in some pain tomorrow muahaha. Two hours at the gym didn't do it for me, so I headed up to the climbing gym with Kim and Mark for 3 hours. I definitely got a full workout today.

Baby, baby, please let me hold him.

In the past 24 hours crazy news has come to me.

Miranda Williams is preggers from what I hear (she even texted me a pic of the pregnancy test). I hope she stays pregnant, I've heard that first pregnancies sometimes don't end up happenning. It's about time, I thought there'd be a little army of kids over there by now hehe.

Sarah Vasicek is engaged to be married on April 24th.

My roommate Dan moved out yesterday.

That's all the exciting news for now.

Where it's so white as snow

Two days ago I went on a hike with my roommate Dan in Rock Canyon. We didn't go super far because we had started at 6 and had to turn back when it got dark. Yesterday I went on a hike in the same place with Trevor. When we started the sun was out, not a cloud in the sky. After hiking for 2 hours it began to snow - hard. We were wearing short sleeve shirts with sweatshirts. After downing some PBJ sandwiches we began running back. Back at the mouth of the canyon it wasn't snowing at all. I got some sweet video of some base jumpers that I will try and get up.

This evening was pretty rough. I didn't sleep this morning so I tried sleeping from 5 to 9. I woke up at 8 because my roommate Paul's alarm clock was going off. I walked out of my room to clouds of smoke. They had started a fire in the fireplace and for some reason it was filling the house with thick smoke. Since they were using starter logs and not real logs it smelled like paraffin.
